It all began with a bench…

After being stood up by a friend for coffee, Margaret sat on a Notre Dame University park bench contemplating what to do next. She was about to head back to her dorm when Sean ran by and caught her eye. From there, the two spent ample amounts of time going on evening runs, conversing passionately about childhood education, and snacking on sweets (or whatever Sean could steal from Margaret’s grasp). Margaret, being a fair-skinned, craft queen from an Ohio farm-town, and Sean, a dark-featured, Spanish-speaking, middle school teacher, they decided to take their relationship to new heights by getting married at the Basilica at the Notre Dame University; a place where Margaret sang and both had worshipped at together. Their wedding day was beautifully busy (the Basilica hosted five weddings that day), and included warm walks around the campus (meeting the bench that started it all), and delightfully handcrafted décor that fit the classic, dusty warm tones that the two envisioned. From attire to choice of music, the entire day celebrating the Sullivan’s was timeless and classic.
