Jay, Bernadette, and I met a while back at Bernadette’s sister’s wedding and I already knew in the short time we spent together that we were two (three?) peas in a pod. Jay requested a silly photo in front of a pair of lion statues and Bern was quick to encourage the idea. I am a HUGE fan of the “do a silly one!” photo and could tell these guys were too.

Fast forward to today, these two were engaged and decided to take me for a stroll through my old college stomping grounds in downtown Columbus. Though it was chilly, we enjoyed a fresh walk on the Scioto Mile bridge and warmed up at Standard Hall, a bar in the Short North. When I asked Bern what she liked to do for fun, she was super quick to respond with, “I like drinking on patios,” so going there seemed like a great idea!
