“What do you think?!” That was Felicia’s response when I congratulated her on her engagement to Wayne. She held out her hand like many other newly engaged brides do to show off the gorgeous ring on her finger and she had the biggest grin on her face. Sitting with these two in my office was a treat as I learned about their story. Meeting each other through church, the two have know each other a long time and through a lot. Though this is Felicia’s first marriage, Wayne has been married before, but lost his wife awhile back. The way these two shared their experience through this chapter of their lives made me discover a new facet of love that I hadn’t acknowledged. Though Wayne and Felicia asked me to be a part of this big step in their relationship, I am the one thankful that they allow me to watch, learn, and grow from them in our time together.
